FAQ's

  • Availability : How quickly can you dispatch my order?

All items that are normally listed in our web shop are usually available for dispatch within 48 hours after receiving payment confirmation, unless listed otherwise.  Please take closing days and Public Holidays into account.

Items that are marked with Out of Stock are not currently in stock, but are available for pre-order. This means that we will first have to order the item with the supplier, before we can deliver it to you.

This is mainly the case for Space Tribe items. We regularly re-order Space Tribe items that are out of stock. However, their range is so large that we can never stock every item in every available colour and size; but we can order it in for you.

So if you want to pre-order an item that is marked with Out of Stock, you can simply click to pre-order it, longer delivery times will apply as the item may need to be produced for you. Space Tribe usually takes approximately 8 weeks for production.  Public Beta Wear deliveries are faster and usally get to us in about 3 weeks.

If you would like to know more details regarding delivery times, etc...; you can click for more information.

Items marked with Out of Stock are not subject to sale prices.

  • Stock levels: Is what you show online available for purchase ?

Our webite is linked to our Point of Sale computer system and stock levels are continiously updated.  This means that if you can see it in our online shop and it has the "Add to Cart" button next to it, it is available and you can buy it.  Items that are marked as Out of Stock are not currently in stock, but are available for pre-order, please check Availability for further details. Items that are marked as Sold Out or that are not marked at all, are..., you guessed it Sold Out...

  • Delivery Information : How quickly can I get my order and how much will it cost?

Postal charges are based on the weight of your order. We have awarded every article with Weight Points (WP), 1 WP per 100gr.

WP is listed with every item's description. Your shopping trolley will automatically add up your WP and calculate postage at the check-out.

    Postage Options within Australia :

    - Regular Postage : this is regular delivery within Australia, generally delivered within 1 week of dispatch, depending on the distance that your parcel has to travel. The new Parcel Post Plus satchels that we use for this are now also trackable.

    - Express Post : If you are in a hurry, Express Post will generally deliver your order the next working day after dispatch.  Extra fees apply. Keep in mind that Australia Post only guarantees next day delivery for parcels traveling within WA.  Interstate delivery may take longer, especially during the festive season.  Every parcel has a unique identification number which makes your parcel traceable in case of loss.

    International Delivery :

We use Registered Post International (RPI) for smaller parcels up to 2 kg and Express Post International (EPI) for larger parcels. Both options have are traceable and require signature on delivery. Delivery can take 3 to 10 working days.

Some countries charge import duties for online orders.  This depends on the individual relation between your country and Australia.  Please contact yout local Customs Department for information.

Note: Please understand that it is nearly impossible for us to quarantee exactly when your order will arrive.  We can guarantee whe we post it, but the rest is up to the postal system.  We have no control over the situation after postage.

The below table provides a general guideline for size conversion.

    >> Click here to view Size Table

Sizes can differ greatly from one supplier to the next. If sizes are exceptionally small or big, we'll make a note on that with the product description.

We are happy to assist you to find the right size for you.   Please click the  button next to the item that you are interested in and send us your relevant measurements.  From there we can work out what size will fit your body measurements.

Note : OS stands for One size for all

  • Currency : What currency does my order get processed in?

We are an Australian based business, so your order will be processed in Australian dollars. We give you the option to convert to another currency whilst shopping, but this is mainly a courtesy.

  • What is my CVV number and where can I find it ?

Your CVV (Card Verification Value) is a security code on your credit card.  It is located on the back of your Mastercard or Visa card and is typically a separated  group of 3 digits to the right of the signature strip (see photo).

  • Care Instructions : How do I wash this ?

Good clothing care will significantly increase the life time of your garments, especially their colours and prints.

    - Natural Fibers : are often hand-dyed, therefore they may bleed.  We recommend that you wash colours separately or together with similar colours.

For delicate fibers (like Spandex) hand wash or use a cold washing cycle for woolens and delicate. Washing delicate items inside out will also help to protect delicate fibers.

Avoid washing delicate fibers in top loaders.  If you have a top loader, use a netted wash bag or hand wash.

Avoid washing detergents with TAED or other bleaches.  Choose a detergent that is colour safe to make colours last longer and prevent fading.

Alterations : Natural fibres like pure linen, cotton and even rayon (also named viscose, produced from cellulose) may shrink in the first couple of washes.  If you need to make alterations, for example shorten your pants we recommend that you wash your pants twice before you get them taken up.  You may find that you don’t need to take them up any more after these first initial washes.

    -Prints and Fluoros :

Apply the same rule as above regarding your choice of detergent.  Bright prints last longer if they do not come into contact with bleach.

Wash and dry your garments inside out.  We recommend that you hand wash or use a cold washing cycle.

    -Items with leather:

Leather does not like water.  Do not submerge items with leather in water.  Air the garments out, spot treat stains or dry clean with a special leather program.

    -Bead string items:

Beads are strung together with very thin sewing elastic.  This elastic lasts longest when kept way from water and moisture in general.  So avoid swimming and showering with your new bead string necklace!

    -Yantra Banners:

The Yantra banners are dry clean only.  If you want to get the folds out, please iron on the back only.  Do not iron on the print.

    - Leather Boots:

Apply a layer of water proofing wax (preferrably based on beeswax) onto your boots to keep the leather conditioned and to repell water.

  • Gift Vouchers : How do I buy or use a gift voucher ?

Simply go to our gift voucher page, enter your desired amount in Australian dollars, click your shopping basket and proceed to the check out. You will receive an email which confirms the amount that you purchased.

You may want to print out your gift voucher. You can send your friends the best gift and let them choose their own Omkara wear online or in our shop.

You may choose to spend it either online or in our shop in Fremantle Western Australia. You may choose any items in our shop or online store and proceed to the check out. On the check out page you can enter your gift voucher number and your gift voucher amount will be deducted from your total.

Important : Your total amount of goods should always be larger than your gift voucher amount as we cannot refund any remaining credit. All our gift vouchers are set up in Australian Dollars as this is the currency that we work with.

  • Colour information : The colour that I received looks a little different from the screen? Why?

It may seem simple, but it is actually extremely difficult to take colour photos that look exactly like the real colour.  We do not have a professional photo studio or the funds to employ professional photographers, so we do the best we can with our limited equipment.  We have tried and tested several techniques to take the fabric photos. The technique that we use now delivers the closest possible resemblance to the colour of the garment. However, the colour on your screen can never be a 100% match with the colour of your garment.  You can also click on the colour image to see a larger image with the name of the colour.

  • GST : What is GST ?

GST stands for the Australian Goods and Services Tax.  This is a tax that all Australian businesses that are registered for GST are required to charge to their customers in Australia.

All prices listed on our website are including GST.  The GST component is 1/11th of this retail price. All customers that make purchases from outside Australia are not required to pay GST and will receive a 9.091% (1/11th) discount at the check out.  Sorry if it sounds complicated, we can thank the Australian Taxation Office for that...

  • How to wear instructions : How do I put this on ?

Our clothing is unconventional and we understand that some items may be a bit tricky to put on for the first time.  Underneath we have explained with some photos how to put on some of the items that customers tend to struggle with.

    A. PANTS WRAP LOOSE, BAGGY or ALADIN (Goddess Clothes)

Step 1: Step into the pants, holding the Velcro parts in your hands with the Goddess label facing outwards towards you.

Step 2: Wrap the pants closely around your body, so that there are no gaps between your skin and the fabric and stick the Velcro together on your back.

Step 3: Wrap the rest of the pants around you and tie the straps together in the front.  Avoid gaps between the 2 layers of fabric by tying the strap downwards.

    B. TOP DRAGAPE, DRESS DRAPAGE RAYON AND DRESS FLAMENCO (Goddess Clothes Summer 07-08 and 09-10)

Step 1: Put the top or dress on and pull the draped fabric in the front low enough so that the largest fold in the fabric covers your breasts.

Step 2 & 3: Cross the back straps over the upper back, feed them through the small loops and tie together.  By doing this you will feel the fabric in the front tightening around the bust and give you support like a bra.  Tighten the strap to adjust the support.   This should fix you up with the Dress Drapage Rayon, for the Dress Flamenco tie the bottom straps seperately.  For Top Drapage move onto step 4 & 5

Step 4 & 5 : Tuck the excess fabric on the sides underneath the folds of fabric and you are all done.

  • Can I buy everything in your local shop?

If you live near our Fremantle shop you can of course come in, try things on and buy.  Unfortunately our shop is limited in size, this means that we only have enough space to stock the current season.  All the items from previous seasons (mainly the specials) are in storage.  If you are interested in a particular item from another season and you do not want to buy online, please contact us.  E-mail us a list of the items (name, colours and sizes) that you are interested in and the day that you are coming to Fremantle.  And we'll bring those items to the shop for you on the arranged date.

  • Yantra set up instructions: How do I attach my Yantra to the wall ?

You have 2 options to attach your Yantra:

You can stick (bamboo) poles through the top and bottom loops and attach the poles to the wall.

Or you can simply put tacks or nails through the eyelets on the Yantras.
